Which ITR is suitable to you in Assessment Year 2013-14?

ITR-1: It can be used for income from salary/pension, income from one house property(excludes the cases where loss is brought forward from previous years) , income from other sources (excludes winning from lottery & income from race horses)

ITR2: For those individuals or Hindu Undivided Family who has income from salary/pension, income from house property, income from capital gains or income from other sources (includes income from winning from lottery & income from race horses)

ITR3: For those individuals or Hindu Undivided Family who are partners in a firm or income from profits or gains of business or profession but should not include any income by way of interest, salary, bonus, commission or remuneration.

ITR 4: For individuals or Hindu Undivided Family for income from business or profession

ITR4S: For individuals or Hindu Undivided Family whose total income includes:
Business (computed according to Special provisions under section 44D&44E), or income from salary/pension or income from one house property or income from house property

ITR5: For a firm, LLPs, AOP, BOI, artificial juridical person referred to in section 2(31 )(vii), cooperative society and local authority. However, a person who is required to file the return of income under section 139(4A) or 139(4B) or 139(4C) or 139(4D) shall not use this form.

ITR6: For company, other than a company claiming exemption under section 11.

ITR7: For persons including companies who are required to furnish return under section 139(4A) or section 139(4B) or section 139(4C) or section 139(4D).
